Mtisunge Alistair Liomba

Born Mtisunge Alistair Liomba, this Blantyre based rapper is one of Hip Hop's unsung heroes. He started rapping at the age of 14 and made his studio debut in 1998, aged 16, alongside his big brother Kleoh in the group Korapt. Their songs Chipanda and Mr. President received lots of airplay and the group even appeared on MNET's Rock Down Africa TV show. In 2000 the rapper went to college and became a solo act recording with other upcoming and known rappers such as Incyt, Stix, Gosple and Masavage. In 2003 he recorded but never released Theme Musik, a stellar album that boasted production by producers such as Dynamike, Desert Eagle and Dominant 1. Although never released, the recording received critical acclaim and the songs were played on all major radio stations.The song Mkazi Wanga feauting Masavage wasa major hit. In 2009 he released the mixtape Rigor Mortis. Although having no officially released album, Prolifik is a widely known and respected artist on the Malawi Hip Hop scene. He is currently working on his third project entitled Love and Pain, which will be followed by Proetry in 2012. Prolifik is also a producer  and has produced for the likes of Desert Eagle, Young Kay and Cash.
