
Cassim Ibrahim
Biography
Cassim Ibrahim is a Malawian gospel singer-composer and songwriter. His music career started while he was 8 years old. Currently, he is a member of different singing groups: Noble Voices Accapella group, Jesus Saves, The Bright Morning, The Gleams and Consecration singers. He was born on February 10, 1992 and he is the last born in a family of four. He hails from Kamsombeni Village, T/A Mzukubola in Mzimba district. He was raised by a single parent (mother).
His background is quite complicated. Cassim Ibrahim did his early education in Chitipa at CCAP nursery school at Chitipa Boma. In 1997, his family went to Mzimba where he spent part of his childhood. He did his first years of primary school in Mzimba (standard 1 to 3) in schools namely; Assemblies of God, Restored, Davy FP School, Kaphuta FP School and Tiyanjane PVT School.
In 1999/2000, his family moved to Mzuzu where he was just staying without schooling. In 2001, his family went to Lilongwe and he did part of his school at Likuni boys primary School and Kakule primary school.
In 2004, Cassim and his brother, Intiaz Ibrahim, went back to Mzimba where he proceeded to do his standard 7 and 8 at Kaphuta FP School. He did his secondary education at Mnjiri CDSS from 2006 to 2009.
